This Taco Bell ad gets it half right.

This would almost be a cute commercial if I wasn't too busy being creeped out by the fact that the guy takes one glance at a girl he's never met and is instantly fantasizing about getting her pregnant AND being old together.  I'm sorry, but that's just stalkerish and obsessive and just too damn weird for me.  It's almost as bad as that idiot dreaming about spending the day with Flo the Freakishly Pale Zombie from those Progressive Insurance ads.

I do like the girl's much more realistic, sensible, sane reaction (if wanting to eat a taco wrapped in a pizza can be described as "sane.")

  1. This seems to be a pattern in ads these days, though...nebbishy guys imagining themselves growing old with some woman they met randomly in a public place just because of some product or other. Remember the one with the guy who meets the girl on the train (I can't even remember for the life of me what the ad is for), and we see him flashing back on an entire life he imagines spending with her, STARTING with them being old and gray and attending the presidential inauguration of their child? And then they zip back through time, and the pregnancy, and the wedding, and then we go back to the present and...he's just fantasizing about this chick he saw on a train? How creepy and stalkeresque is that?

I'd be willing to bet any amount of money it's the same ad agency, too. In which case Taco Bell got ripped off, being sold a used idea.
